CITB Cskills to cease F Gas Certification

Withdrawal of ACS & Utilities Engineering Products

Following a strategic review by CITB of where and how we should direct our efforts, having regard both to the needs of the market and CITB’s statutory responsibilities and powers, it has been decided that we will withdraw our suite of products for ACS and Utilities Engineering by 31 January 2017.

With this in mind, this letter is to notify you of this withdrawal and advise that notice of termination has been served on our centres and we have had discussions with the Certification Bodies and the Regulators to ensure customers, who have already undergone training, will continue to be supported in the following ways:.

• until 31 March 2017 we will continue to provide a certification service for assessments which have been carried out by centres on or before 31 January 2017;
• we will continue to hold records and documentation for all assessments and certification for a period of 6 years from 31 March 2017;
• there will be provision to deal with complaints in respect of ACS and UE products;
• we will continue to provide duplicate certificates; and
• a dedicated UE email address will be maintained – uengineering@citb.co.uk.

All certificates and cards issued by CITB to operatives continue to be valid until their expiry date and can be verified by contacting the CITB helpline on 0344 994 4133 (or as detailed on the back of certificates).
