History of ACRIB

ACRIB was formed in 1995 to provide a central meeting point for associations and institutes representing the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industries.  It is a company limited by guarantee with no share capital.

Its objects are:

• To promote by co-ordination, liaison and representation of all sectors of the industry,  including manufacturers, distributors, designers, installers, end-users and those involved in service and maintenance.
• To act as the industry point of contact with UK and other government representatives or NGOs.
• To liaise, negotiate, co-operate or initiate action with government and other bodies on behalf of the industry to promote or safeguard its interests

Its current membership of trade bodies, professional institutes and associations provides a broad base from which to represent the industry in this way.
