REFCOM, one of the UK national company certification bodies under F Gas Regulations, have provided two useful free downloads to encourage refrigerant recovery and recycling good practice.
The objective of the technical bulletins is to remind the industry of the importance of the effective recycling of as much recovered gas as possible. This is advised in order to alleviate the pressures being experienced by members in the field with shortages of virgin and reclaimed gas causing gas prices at the wholesalers to be unstable. The long term availability of virgin high GWP refrigerants is also uncertain due to the F Gas GWP weighted phase down.
