Heat pumps incentives and Heat in Buildings Strategy

This week saw major policy announcements building on the Prime Minister’s 10 Point Plan launched in 2020. The Net Zero Strategy sets out how the UK will deliver on its commitment to reach net-zero emissions by 2050; while the Heat and Building strategy highlights how households will benefit from £5,000 government grants through £450 million Boiler Upgrade Scheme to help install low-carbon heating systems.

Alongside these policy papers from BEIS, Treasury have also published the Net Zero Review, an analytical report that explores the key issues as the UK decarbonises.
